Severe Weather Workshop at UNCA

Here is a link to a Severe Weather Workshop at UNCA in April on Saturday, April 17 at UNCA. The cost is $15.00 for an all-day workshop with lunch and there are guest speakers from UNCA, NWS/GSP and NCDC. Even though it says the last day for registration is Tuesday, March 30, but I was informed today (Monday) that registration will continue past that date.  Call or email your registration (no snail mail) as directed at the site.

I thought I would kick this off with Dales video about backyard biochar. It occures to me that if you made the lid/chimney bit out of 1/4 inch steel you could cook on it. This would put it on par with lighting a fire for a BBQ in terms of footprint. Reburning the gas would be better.
